Update - and thank you

A final count down until the event now....we have 40 days to go. Thank you all for following us and for all the support that has been coming in online though the first giving and just giving pages and offline. We greatly appreciate this. We have just gone over a million shillings in donations and hope that we can push this up a little in the coming weeks leading up to the event.

We are hoping to get the red car in to Gemma's father in law, Ian McRae, to have him make some minor repairs that we feel need doing before she is set to go across country again. We will also spend an afternoon with him just before the event going through the engine and making sure we know how to get her back on the road again should something fail.

Here Kim Green and I were pictured looking rather perplexed. Last year the engine stopped on us in the dark on the way to the starting post....and a little hammering and wire shaking by the "mechanics on board" started her again and she purred along nicely all day. Lets hope we have as much luck this year. As always Ian is very thorough and we really value the time he puts into our little red car.
